=======
Ilāh (إِلَٰهٌ) means God whose slavery shall be doing, means His command shall be followed:
"Surely (إِنَّمَا اللَّهُ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ) Allah is the only One God (إِلَٰهَ)". This is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of everything. There is no God (إِلَٰهَ) but He. So where do you turn away ???
Allah Himself is Witness that there is no God (إِلَٰهَ) except Him, and the angels and the men of knowledge also. He has maintain justice, there is no God (إِلَٰهَ) but He the Almighty, the Wise. He is the One who is God (إِلَٰهٌ) in the sky, and God (إِلَٰهٌ) on the earth, all the Beautiful Attributes are for Him. His knowledge is extensive from everything. The believers must place their trust in Allah alone. Allah has said, “Do not take two Gods (إِلَٰهَيْنِ), If there were Gods (آلِهَةٌ) beside Allah, then verily sky and earth had been corrupted. Those Gods (إِلَٰهٍ) would have taken away whatever they created, and would have been overpowered against the other, and they would have found a way to the Lord of the Throne” thus the Lord of the Throne is pure from what they describe.
Allah says:
"Surely Allah is the only One God (إِلَٰهٌ)". He is far too pure to have a son. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and Allah is enough to trust in.
(4:171)
This is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of everything. There is no God (إِلَٰهَ) but He. So where do you turn away ???
(40:62)
Allah (Himself) is Witness that there is no God (إِلَٰهَ) except Him. And the angels and the men of knowledge. He is maintaining justice, there is no God (إِلَٰهَ) but He the Almighty, the Wise.
(3:18)
He is the One who is God (إِلَٰهٌ) in the sky, and God (إِلَٰهٌ) on the earth. And He is the Wise, the All-Knowing.
(43:84)
Allah, there is no God (إِلَٰهَ) but He, for Him are the Beautiful Attributes.
(20:8)
Your God (إِلَٰهُكُمُ) is Allah there is no God (إِلَٰهَ) other than Him. His knowledge is extensive from everything.
(20:98)
Allah is such that there is no God (إِلَٰهَ) but He. And in Allah alone the believers must place their trust.
(64:13)
Allah has said, “Do not take two Gods (إِلَٰهَيْنِ). He is the only One God (إِلَٰهٌ). So, Me alone you fear.”
(16:51)
If there were Gods (آلِهَةٌ) beside Allah, then verily both (sky and earth) had been corrupted. The Lord of the Throne is Glorified, from all that they ascribe.
(21:22)
Allah has not taken a son to Himself, nor was there any God (إِلَٰهٍ) with Him. Had there been so, every God (إِلَٰهٍ) would have taken away what he created, and each one of them would have been overpowered against the other. Pure is Allah from what they describe.
(23:91)
Say, “Had there been other Gods (آلِهَةٌ) along with Him”, as they say, “then they would have found a way to the Lord of the Throne”.
(17:42)
.
PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN GODS (آلِهَةً) BESIDE ALLAH:
=========================================
People have taken Gods (آلِهَةً) other than Allah, so that they may be a source of might for them and help them.
Mostly people have taken their rabbis, monks and Masih the son of Maryam, as Lords, some of them do slavery of some names only, which they and their fathers have named, for which Allah has sent down no authority. In addition, some of them are those who has taken their Desires as their Gods (إِلَٰهَهُ).
Allah would not command you that you should take the angels and the Prophets as Lords. Your God (إِلَٰهُكُمْ) is the One God (إِلَٰهٌ), and whoever hopes to meet his Lord must do righteous deed and must not associate anyone in the slavery of his Lord.” It is not lawful for a Bashar that Allah gives him the Book, the wisdom and the Prophethood, then he say to the people “be my slaves,” rather, he would say, “Be men of the Lord (رَبَّـٰنِيِّـۧنَ) as you have taught the Book, and as you have been taking Dars from it.”
Allah says:
They have taken Gods (آلِهَةً) other than Allah, so that they may be a source of might for them. Never! They will soon reject having their slavery, and they will be just the opposite for them.
(19:81,82)
They have adopted Gods (آلِهَةً) other than Allah, so that they may helped them. They cannot help them, rather they are like a troop brought forth for them.
(36:74,75)
They have taken their rabbis and their monks as Lords beside Allah, and also Masih the son of Maryam, but they were commanded to do slavery only for One God (إِلَٰهًا). There is no God (إِلَٰهَ) but He. Pure is He from what they associate with Him.
(9:31)
You do slavery of some names only, other than Him, which you have named, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. Sovereignty belongs to Allah only, He has ordained that you shall not do slavery of anyone but Him. This is the establish Deen. But most of the people do not know.”
(12:40)
Tell me about the one who has taken his Desires as his God (إِلَٰهَهُ), would you then, become a guardian for him???
(25:43)
And he would not command you that you should take the angels and the Prophets as Lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after you are become Muslims???
(3:80)
Say: "I am only a man like you it is revealed to me that your God (إِلَٰهُكُمْ) is the One God (إِلَٰهٌ). So the one who hopes to meet his Lord must do righteous deed and must not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord.”
(18:110)
It is not (possible) for a man that Allah gives him the Book, the wisdom and the Prophethood, then he starts saying to the people “Become my slaves, aside from Allah” rather, (he would say), “Be men of the Lord (رَبَّـٰنِيِّـۧنَ) as you have taught the Book, and as you have been taking Dars from it.”
(3:79)
