Give Sadaqah (Donation) after paying Zakat (Dues):
Sadaqah (Donation) is given to forgive man's sins, his repentance is accepted, he becomes purified, it atone for evils.
O you who believe, when you consult the Messenger in private, then offer something in Sadaqah (Donation) before your consultation. That is better and purer for you. But those who can not afford to give Sadaqah (Donation) and afraid of then Allah has forgiven them, so they should establish Salah (commands), pay Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those who can afford Sadaqah (Donation) Allah says about them to His Messenger; "Take Sadaqah (Donation) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it, and tell them Allah's command. Indeed, your Salah (command) is a source of peace for them. Indeed Allah is He who accepts repentance from His slaves and accepts Sadaqah (Donation). Man cannot understand Quran unless he becomes purified.
So spend out of what has given to you before death overtakes one of you and he says, “My Lord, would you not give me respite for a little while so that I should pay Sadaqah (Donation) and become one of the righteous???”
Allah says:
O you who believe, when you consult the Messenger in private, then offer something in Sadaqah (Donation) before your consultation. That is better for you and purer. But if you find nothing (to offer), then Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful. Have you become afraid of offering Sadaqah (Donation) before your consultation? So when you did not do so, and Allah has forgiven you, then establish Salah, and pay Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is well aware of what you do.
(58:12,13)
Take Sadaqah (Donation) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it, and tell them Salah (command). Indeed, your Salah is a source of peace for them. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. Have they not come to know that Allah is He who accepts repentance from His slaves and accepts Sadaqah (Donation), and that Allah is Most-Relenting, Very-Merciful?
(9:103,104)
This is indeed an Honorable Quran. In a Book well-guarded. Which none can touch, but the purified.
(56:77,78,79)
And spend out of what We have given to you before death overtakes one of you and he says, “My Lord, would you not give me respite for a little while so that I should pay Sadaqah (Donation) and become one of the righteous?”

HOW MUCH SADAQAH HAS TO GIVEN????
====================================
Sadaqah (Donation) has to be given generously Allah has not mentioned any limits for Sadaqah (Donation) but He commanded do not opt for a bad thing, if such a thing is offered to you, while you are not going to accept it. Forgive the debt and retaliation for the poor and needy people is also Sadaqah (Donation). If you make Sadaqah (Donation) openly, it is good enough, and if you keep it secret then it is much better for you, and this will become expiation of your evils.
Allah says:
Those who taunt the believers who generously give Sadaqah (Donation) and have nothing but their hard earnings; still they mock at such people. Allah mocks at them, and for them there is a painful punishment.
(9:79)
O you who believe, spend of the good things you have earned, and of what We have brought forth for you from the earth, and do not opt for a bad thing, spending only from it, while you are not going to accept it and know well that Allah is All-Independent, Ever-Praised.
(2:267)
If there is one (creditor) in misery, then deferment till (his) ease, and that you forgo it as Sadaqah (Donation) is much better for you, if you really know.
(2:280)
We prescribed for them therein: A life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear and a tooth for a tooth; and for wounds, an equal retaliation. Then, if one forgives it as Sadaqah (Donation), that will be an expiation for him. Those who do not judge according to what Allah has sent down, they are the unjust.
(5:45)
If you make Sadaqat (Donation) openly, it is good enough, and if you keep it secret and give it to the needy, it is much better for you, and this will atonement of your misdeeds. Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
